Access and Tourism Circuit


Located about 125 km (two hours by road) from Arusha, the park fits neatly into Tanzania’s northern safari circuit linking Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park. Daily charter flights serve the Lake Manyara Airstrip, and nearby Mto wa Mbu village offers cultural tours.
Conservation
Managed by the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA), Lake Manyara forms part of a UNESCO Man and the Biosphere Reserve. Conservation programs focus on protecting elephant populations, sustaining the Manyara–Tarangire wildlife corridor, and promoting community-based eco-tourism
